Our speaker, Dr. Julie Miller, has for the past 25 years engaged, motivated, and trained more than 600,000 business professionals across the continent—including those at numerous Fortune 500 companies—to write crisp, clear communications.
A sought-after speaker, popular columnist, and bestselling author, she is the founder and president of Business Writing That Counts! Dr. Julie has an extensive client list. A sample includes: eBay, Microsoft, Costco, Moss Adams, Peterbilt Trucks, Wells Fargo, Ernst & Young, City of Seattle, Washington State’s Office of the Attorney General, and New York Life.
Dr. Julie has just started a NEW company: Self-Starter Enterprises, LLC. Her book, Secrets of Self-Starters tells the stories of 48 self-starting individuals who skyrocketed to success overcoming huge obstacles and setbacks along the way.
In addition to her very successful business, Dr. Miller is repeatedly recognized for her strong commitment to the community. In 2002, Dr. Miller was awarded Women of the Year and in 2008 was presented with the Women Business Owners Woman of Excellence Award. And has been appointed by Governor Gregoire to serve as a trustee and board chair for Cascadia College.
And, a side note: Julie has been involved with WBO since 1994, serving as president and Nellie judging facilitator.
