About Our Speaker:
Lauren has been practicing business law since 2008, and has had her own solo practice in West Seattle since 2016. Her practice focuses on business law and the needs of small business owners, assisting them with setting up new businesses, buying and selling businesses, hiring/firing & compliance with current employment laws, client services agreements, independent contractor agreements, commercial leases, trademarks & copyrights, and informal dispute resolution. Her clients are mostly solopreneurs, and she offers a free 15-20 minute telephone or Zoom consultation for all potential clients.

Lauren is originally from Massachusetts and graduated from Middlebury College in Vermont. She drove to Seattle from Cape Cod at the age of 21 to attend law school, graduated from the University of Washington School of Law in 1991, and has lived in the wonderful small-town-within-a-city that is West Seattle since 1994. She has two fabulous grown kids who relocated to Maryland earlier this month, and she hasn’t quite figured out what to do with herself as a first-time empty nester. Lauren lives with her senior pit bull Emmett and her ancient tuxedo cat Toby.
